Throughout the competition India have been showing its best batting line and easily handled all its opponents. India, unlikely to the last visit at England when India had to struggle hard and could not understand the conditions and lost series, this time it is very comfortable facing all teams with great pace and spin. India got great combination of the opening batsmen that is considered as the India’s biggest lucky charm and power so far. Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit sharma both are in great hot form at crease. Shikhar’s brilliant understanding of the ball’s pace made him different and strategically dangerous throughout the tournament. His splendid stroke plays made him quite favorite among all cricket lovers. Rohit Sharma is the man giving good support to Shikhar. Middle order batsmen as always provide support to the team and always played efficiently. Dinesh Karthik made the selectors confident for showing a terrific performance in the series. The addition of Ravindra made Indian batting line more strong. In short Indian batting line throughout the tournament have been a great strength and now looking forward to carry the performance on to knock out Sri Lanka at semifinal stage to qualify for the final.
Indian bowling line is not much satisfied as the batting line is. The bowling line never been dominated as should be to be a world class team there were always shown flaws and lack in their bowling side to be managed. But during the tournament it showed strength and power not equally good to the batting but made some impression to the opponents. The best thing seen in this tournament is all the bowlers justified with the place where they were set all did good job in making the run rate lower of the opponents. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Umesh Yadav were the opening bowlers who brilliantly made opponents under pressure from the very start of the game. Ishant Sharma also kept the opposite teams down during his overs. Indian spinner R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja showed a great control over the length pace of the ball. The bowlers also justified by the confidence of their skipper MS Dhoni’s saying that India got the best fielding side of the world. Now everyone is looking for the match against Sri Lanka.

They earned total of four points equal to England by their great performance. Their continuous good performance against England Australia made them confident and boost up towards success. In a match against New Zealand they were almost nearly puled off by the performance of scoring only 138 runs yet they never sewed pressurized that a team’s biggest sprit to win. Kumar Sanagakara is the team’s biggest run scorer so far by getting 134* against England. Against Australia Mahela Jayawardene gave his outstanding performance by scoring 84*. The rest of the team players had a great start yet they have to work and concentrate more on their performance.
Sri Lanka has a mixed combination in performance showed in last three matches differently. Though Sri Lanka has been a terrific at bowling side and finished the group stage by getting 4 point that wont be possible if against New Zealand they had a narrow escape from the loss. Malinga attacked on opponents from the start till very end and with great hostility and pace continued his performance throughout the tournament for his supports Nuwan Kulsekara and Shaminda Eranga bowled equally good to keep run rate lower. The spinners Rangana Herath and Tilakaratne Dilshan always supported team whenever it needed but the true examine would be on tomorrow’s match against India as Indian players are very good in playing with spinners. Angleo Mathew putting his effective skills together to make his team the best competitive, it is yet to be decided for his capabilities after the match tomorrow where he has to execute all his skills and strategies to help his team go for the final.
Shikhar Dhawan is the right hand of the team India whenever he comes around the ground, caught everyone’s attention by giving a superb touch in his performance. His perfect timing for hit a shot made him a worth praising batsman in the world of Cricket. All hopes are now with the brilliant skilled player to help team India go for Final.
Nuwan Kulsekara played a match against England where he in spite of bowling did amazingly well with batting and made 58 off 38 balls. He was much threatening along with Malinga in next match against Australia and bowled with great accuracy and pace and picked 3 wickets for only 42 runs in 10 overs. He has ability to destroy the greatest Indian Batting line by his unpredictable bowling style.
